John McCain’s vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin harbors even more controversial beliefs stemming from her fundamentalist Christian church that could damage Republican McCain’s chances in November. She believes homosexuality is a perversion that can be “cured” through the power of prayer. The belief not only flies in the face of conventional wisdom, but medical science as well.
